Member Goals

Most people who sign up for our Online Program post some personal goals. Many of our members have said that publically stating these goals is very important because it helps them to keep focused on their commitment to try to reach their goals. Posting goals also helps others to decide what they would like to try to work toward.

pepelemoko’s Goals are to:
  1. Find joy in life again
  2. To become comfortable in social situations and be able to approach strangers with ease
  3. Learn to love other people despite their weaknesses/betrayals and to let go of regrets

  1. Get out of bed by 10 every weekday.
  2. Some form of meditation by noon 6 days per week.
  3. Engage in a productive task before noon 5 days per week.

Linda’s Goals are to:
  1. shower once a day.
  2. do laundry once a week
  3. e-mail my friends and loved ones once a week, even if it's only three lines long.

Mowri’s Goals are to:
  1. After four years of depression, my goal is to one day overcome this and re-discover the care free and loving person I once was.
  2. One goal is to do more with my time in the evenings after work. I tend to over eat in the evening when I do not have much to do. I need to get out there and start doing things with my time. I am to find a hobbie or activity that I am comfortable with that I can continue week in week out. I need to write a list of what sort of activities I would like to do and make enquires in to local groups for this activity.
  3. I need to speak to one friend per week. I need to get over my fear of conversation and rining them and speak to them find out how they are etc. Even if it is just for s 5 min chat I need to make the effort.

Skelbers’s Goals are to:
  1. Take the dog for a walk every day, even if it's just around the block.
  2. Get the whole house cleaned and organized, top to bottom, by the end of the month.
  3. Work on my quilt for at least an hour every day.

Tikva.NZ’s Goals are to:
  1. Gradually change my Diet so that I am eating healthier, and doing so more often. This includes reducing my intake of Coca Cola over time and replacing it with another drink. Making these changes will not only be helpful with the Depression, but also with my High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, and weight.
  2. Find a form of exercise that I can enjoy doing. I love dancing, so will try Zumba to start with.
  3. Stop self-medicating and learn healthier ways to handle those situations that make me want to escape reality.

  1. Meditate and do yoga 3 times a week. Practise my sankalpa.
  2. Be kind to self. Don't skip meals.
  3. Finish portfolio. Network.
